Records Bureau

The Records Bureau’s main responsibilities are to securely store, retrieve, distribute and dispose of police reports. Police reports consist of investigation reports, property reports, supplement reports, vehicular accidents, arrests, and miscellaneous incident reports. All reports are assigned a “case number” and are maintained numerically.

The Records Bureau’s front counter is open to the public Monday through Friday 9:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. Reports can be picked up during these hours. Reports or request for reports can be taken in person or by mail. It is suggested, however, that you call before requesting a report to confirm that the report has been received in the Records Bureau and the exact cost of receiving a copy of same. Please provide as much information as possible when requesting a copy of a report, i.e. case number. If the case number is not known, the records division can search for the report by a mane of parties involved, date, location or type of incident.

Fee Schedule:

* COPY OF A SPECIFIC MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT REPORT (IN PERSON) - $0.75
* COPY OF A SPECIFIC MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT REPORT (BY MAIL) - $5.00
* COPIES OF REPORTS OF A NON-CRIMINAL NATURE, PER PAGE - $0.75
* COPIES OF ANY OTHER REPORT, PER PAGE - $1.00

**It should be noted that not all reports can be released. The Record Bureau Clerks will be able to advise you.
