The Lyndhurst Police Department is engaging in a
proactive method to protect our youth from gang activity in our
community. Although gangs do not flourish in our neighborhood,
there is a presence in nearby areas. The Lyndhurst Police Community
Policing Division has begun a program that shows teachers and
parents the basic early warning signs of possible gang activity.
Learning the warning signs early can be a major factor in combating
